How to play PSX games on my PSP?

1. Be sure that you have a custom firmware on your PSP.

2. You need to rip your psx games and turn them to image file. You’ll need a software like Alcohol120% or MagicISO.

3. Insert your psx cd to your cd-rom drive.

4. Open your ripping software, in my case, I’m using Alcohol120%.

5. Select “Image Making Wizard”.

6. Select “Play Station” on the datatype and click “Next”.

7. Select CloneCD on the image format and click “Start”.

8. Wait until the process finishes. You now have converted your psx cd to an image file.

9. Download base.PBP here.

10. Download PSX2PSP v1.4.2 here.

11. Unzip PSX2PSP and copy the base.PBP to “Files” folder.

12. Open PSX2PSP and select “Classic mode” then click “OK”.

13. Browse and open the image file that you made earlier. Select Output folder and select an image that you want to use (background image must be 480×272).

14. Click “Convert”. You could also click “Preview” first before clicking “Convert” to preview your game.

5. Wait until the process finishes. You should now have a new folder containing your EBOOT.PBP on your selected output PBP directory.

16. Copy that folder to ms0:/PSP/GAME folder on your PSP.

17. Disconnect PSP from computer and go to game section.

18. Open your new PSX game and enjoy!
